The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed regarding the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount sassa of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
